1. Circular Quay

2. Government House
Located near the Circular quay, it is located in the Domain and stands high overlooking the Royal Botanic Gardens and Sydney Opera House. It was constructed in between the years 1837 and 1845 and is a sophisticated Gothic Revival building. Tourists can go to this place in between Friday to Sunday from 10:30am-3pm. The place also has a mind blowing collection of 19th and 20th century furnishings and decors all in dining area, the hall and the ballroom. The upstairs rooms have once been the personal quarters for the Governor, Queen Elizabeth and other members of the Royal family.
3. The Royal Botanic Gardens
It houses the famous Government House and is open throughout the year. It offers free admission to the visitors. One can enjoy the beauty of gardens, go out for picnic, sit over the grass, watch birds, sing around, smell the flowers and observe the nature. You will get to see an outstanding collection of plants from Australia and overseas in this botanical garden. It also offers a free lunchtime tour departing at 1pm from the Palm Grove Centre. 4. The Art Gallery of NSW
Open everyday and providing free admission, the Art Gallery is over 100 years old. It is a leading museum of art in New South Wales and has about 40 exhibitions hosted annually for the collections of Australian, European and Asian art.
5. The Rocks
It is located right between Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. It is one of the most ancient structures and home for the Aboriginal Cadigal people. It offers loads of free entertainment and hosts various outdoor concerts and theatrical and live band performances. Markets are held every Saturday and Sunday near northern end of George Street which provides a good shopping area.
6. The Sydney Harbour Bridge
It is Australia's most famous and photographed landmark place. Dr JJC Bradfield prepared the design for the Sydney Harbour Bridge after the end of World War 1 Later on the tender for an arch bridge was accepted. The construction of this bridge started in 1924 from both sides which ultimately met in. The two arches met in 1930 utilizing a labour of 1400 men eight years.
